We would like to thank Co-Principal Sponsor NAB for funding the NAB Sculpture Prize of $30,000. The 2008 recipient was selected by Terence Maloon, Curator, Special Exhibitions in Public Programs, Art Gallery of New South Wales, announced on Friday 17 October, 2008.

In 2008 our Co-Principal Sponsor Transfield Holdings has recognised the work of a kinetic artist through the Transfield Holdings Kinetic Artist Prize. Transfield has supported the work of kinetic artists through the provision of subsidies and invitations to exhibit at Sculpture by the Sea since 2004. Sculpture by the Sea and Transfield are proud to announce the 2008 inaugural Transfield Holdings Kinetic Artist Prize is awarded to Kozo Nishino.
